MF Productions is the home of Matt Feerick, a UK based, director, actor, teacher and consultant.
Trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris in movement, performance and architecture, Matt has always looked to find links in unusual places. Matt formed international touring theatre company Wet Picnic, a company he remains the Artistic Director of, who's work has reached over 1 million people touring world wide with over 15 shows.
As a director, Matt works with a number of companies in different capacities: to direct shows, as a visiting outside eye or coming in to a rehearsal room at the last minute to help ensure a production is delivered on time and without problems. He has been the Guest Artistic Director of the National Arts Centre of France and the National Centre for Street Arts in France, where he programmed work in venues, created new work and delivered multiple festivals for up to 200,000 people. A director and programmer for a number of festivals across Europe and Matt regularly mentors young companies creating new work.
As an actor, Matt has worked with a number of exciting directors and theatre makers, from Petra Massey and Spy Monkey, to Told by an Idiot, MIcheal Vogal and Familie Flöz. He is a versitile performer with experience of classic text, improvised immersive theatre, street theatre, movement led devised theatre and film.
As a teacher Matt has worked across the UK as a guest lecturer at a number of institutions. He is currently a guest lecturer at AUB, University D'Artois and University of Winchester, teaching acting, movement, producing and directing.
As a consultant and mentor, Matt works with a number of artists and arts organisations both as a creative mentor and business mentor. From helping shape the narrative of a show, to working through production budgets, Matt has over 15 years of experience of managing touring work of various sizes that often proves invaluable for companies needing a new perspective.
